My work explores the delicate balance between figuration and abstraction, drawing from observations of the world around me. I transform visual and auditory experiences into invented scenarios, reflecting the fragmented nature of urban life and the complexities of the human condition. Through swift sketches made in my sketchbooks and on iPads, I capture fleeting moments that become the foundation for my paintings. Each artwork is a culmination of experiences gathered from cities like London, New York, Paris, and L.A., as well as the tranquil landscapes of Wiltshire and Somerset, with tools like the camera and computer serving as extensions of my creative process.
